Terms of Service

Welcome to TruPair. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TruPairmobile application (the "App") operated by Mimi Studio d.o.o., located at 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of Service

TruPair is a relationship app designed to help couples play, connect, and grow closer every day. The App provides conversation prompts, questions, games, a shared journal, countdowns, and other relationship-building features.

Some features require a paid subscription. Free features may be limited in scope and frequency.

3. Account Registration

You may use certain features of the App without creating an account. To access cloud sync, data backup, and cross-device features, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

TruPair offers auto-renewable subscription plans (monthly and annual) that provide access to premium features. Specific pricing and features are displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

4.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

4.3 Billing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's payment terms. We do not process or store your payment information directly.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Your App Store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice to you. Your continued use of the App after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including journal entries, memories, photos, and answers to prompts ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your User Content solely to provide and improve the App.

5.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to create or share content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Exploits or harms minors

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or any connected systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the App to collect information about other users without their consent
  • Circumvent any access restrictions or subscription requirements

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, icons, content, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Mimi Studio d.o.o. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Partner Features

The App includes features that allow you to connect with a partner (e.g., pairing codes, shared journal, answer comparison). You are responsible for obtaining your partner's consent before sharing content that involves them. We are not responsible for any disputes arising between you and your partner related to use of the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Any defects will be corrected
  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • Content or advice provided through the App constitutes professional relationship counseling

TruPair is not a substitute for professional relationship counseling or therapy. The App is designed for entertainment and relationship enrichment purposes only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mimi Studio d.o.o. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mimi Studio d.o.o., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account and associated data
  • Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your Apple ID settings

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mimi Studio d.o.o. regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
